I am, a human being An off color sitting in a bus soon the superior comes for their seat but I smile And talk sincere And welcome them In the future, I'll be sitting calmly the superior won't dare make me worship this uneven life Though, It will take time I of an off color am also a human being we, are one with America

An American and the American lifeAn American in my opinion is part of where they live, someone who has their own rights. An individual who wants to make a difference and who helps the community any way they can. Someone who can stand up for their own beliefs, knowing what's rights and wrong. A person who is proud to just be themselves regardless of what others think about them. The American life for a person should be a satisfying way of living. In other words living your life the way you want, with your own free will. A life where you can become better as a person but most importantly a place where you can enjoy yourself. But what really is “the American life?” The title almost as if it was just a fantasy. A place where no conflict happens, a place where everything is at peace. Even today I don’t really understand what it means to be American and live the so called “American life .” For that same reason i’m looking forwards to learning the answers to these two questions.
In chapter 10 in The Little Prince our group showed order, naturally and constructed in our creative artwork. The background of our project was covered in black cloth along with dark clouds and thunder because the king did not have any order in the way he was trying to rule. The planet covered with a cloak and broken crown represents that the king rules over that planet with no one in it but himself. Since the king was naturally born a king of a higher class, he is authority, but he does not rule like a king should, the broken represents that.
Descartes philosophical views where based on the act of thinking. He concluded that thinking went from a doubt, to the judgement being refutable. When someone sees an object they think of the first thing that looks similar to it, someone else would think of something else. That person keeps doubting until they think there perspective/ judgment is right. t
The first one shows the beaty and the beast which is a love story. They were both teenagers young when they first met they crossed paths and became a soulmates, they fell in love and commited to each other and this commiment is tradition which is passed down making this a system. In the background there are bright colors that represent the childs thought of how happy a lovestory would end up. As they grow up they start realizing that a love story isn't always happy. The bold lines that meet together in the center repreasents how reality really is.
" I think,therefore i am." - Rene Descartes
Since I have a better understanding about this qoute. It was more about the act of thinking and how our reason for existance is to think and think only. Sharon Molina Nathalie Rios,Ashley Guzman
Period 3-4 ,ELA 08/21/16 Mindset There are two different types of mindsets, the growth mindset and the fixed mindset. Growth mindset allows kids to challenge themselves to learn a better way of thinking over time. It is what people believe can make you develop talents and abilities through hard work. The fixed mindset isn’t the same as the growth mindset, the fixed mindset makes kids insecure about their work and doesn’t allow them to take risks. Carol Dweck a young researcher studied the growth and fixed mindset. When Carol Dweck made a research with ten year olds she discovered that when she gave them a challenge some would say “I like a challenge,” in a very positive way, while the other kids took it a bad way. The icon “overtime” is the kid’s intelligence growing during obstacles they face in school and real life. The bow and arrow is a way to show how hard a kid is trying to achieve a goal they want to reach. The student’s way of thinking changes over time. The bow and arrow symbolizes a person trying to hit the target and when they miss the target they are supposed to keep trying to make it. We thought of this imperative because when a hard challenge comes by you need to work hard to accomplish what you want. According to studies done by some schools it says,”Schools that respond to students needs by giving them relevant and meaningful work and by developing strong, positive, and productive relationships with them will produce graduates with strong growth mindsets” (Carol Dweck Talks Growth Mindset, p.5). This quote means that if teachers and staff are willing to help students with their mindsets, they can grow up to be very successful people. Also as you keep trying harder and harder you will be able to see improvements in your work with growth mindset. If students are motivated with their learning they will want to keep learning more and more each and everyday. In conclusion, growth mindset is a good path to lead students to because it will show them that their teachers will not give up on them and they can feel as smart as the rest of their classmates. Our symbol is the bow and arrow. We are using this symbol to show that if you practice hard you will sooner or later accomplish what you want. With practice and hard work you will achieve your goal. If you put your mind to what you want to do you will do it. The bow and arrow is an example as it represents someone trying to hit the target. As in the beginning they can't hit the center of the target they practice hard. Later on after long. |
